Review
Beginners Guide
In this review, I am looking at the
Beginners Guide. I was generall very impressed with the site and its easy
reading style and analogies. For example the
Shower Section explains
the different types of heads in layman terms and how to select one. It does this in a clear simple manner.
The site is written for the US market, so some terms and analogies are confusing, but overall the site is worth a quick read.
SearchWarp.com
Small Bathrooms are explained in the site. It is one of many sites
which goes into details about to improve those tiny bathrooms which are so common in the UK. The sites lists
the following as key elements:
- Use Light Tiles
- Use Corner WCs
- Use small basins
Hints and Things
The Hints and Things is a website with tips about the home. The site
looks more like the result of a school project, but the owner (June) seems very sincere about her site. She writes:
One of the main reasons I decided to develop Hints and Things, was the lack of
basic knowledge available on a multitude of subjects. Once a certain amount of
knowledge has been acquired on any subject it is easy to forget what it is like to be a complete novice.
This applies to everything from gardening, woodwork, cookery, computers etc. etc. etc. That
is where the germ of an idea began, however, once I got started there were more and more things
I wanted to include and I have, therefore, somewhat diversified from my original idea. The ethos of the site remains,
however, which is to provide clear, concise, practical information and advice suitable for everyone irrespective of age or gender
The bathroom page features Health and Beauty which confused me, but when I scrolled down I saw the bathroom links. I
reviewed the makeover page at
bathroom makeover. The tips are basic
and clearly a first step for someone looking at a bathroom upgrade.
- Replace your old shower curtain
- Replace your shower curtain with a glass screen
- Add a vanity unit
- Upgrade cabinets
- Upgrade your taps
